사람은 자신이 하던 일에 대하여 책임을 져야만 한다는 과제를 짊어 집니다. 이레면 그건 직업에 대한 소신이고 의무였습니다. 그렇기에 일단 직업에서 얻는 얼음처럼 투명한 고체가 깨지기 전의 그 단단함이 있을 때 위험을 무릅쓰고 상품으로서 빙수를 만들어야만 할 때처럼 자신의 기질을 발휘하여 놀라운 투지를 갖고 무언가를 연구하여 발명을 할 필요성을 갖게 되는 것이지요. 여기서 개인사업을 영위하는 사람들이 특별한 건 독특한 창조성이라고 할 것입니다. 자신만이 자부심을 갖고 과감하게 최고의 업적을 갖게된 영광의 업적이 빛나기 위해서 깊은 독자적이 플랫폼을 만들고 영위하여 왔었고 그것이 꽃을 피울 때를 기다렸기 때문입니다. 

  877. 어제는 공장에서 N.C 기계의 해드 부분을 가공하였다. 새로 제작하여 교체할 수 있는 예비 부품이다. 중고 기계의 해드가 별로 좋지를 않아서 새로 제작하여 대체하여야 할 것 같았다. 그 밖에 기계의 높이 크기도 차이가 나서 줄여야만 한다. 또 한 배드 부분, 볼스크루우, 베드, 타켓트, 이송대 등, 고치 곳이 한 두 곳이 아니다. 

  그러다보니 이 기계를 수리하는 데 한 동안 시일이 걸릴 것 같다. 아마, 3월 한 달은 모두 걸릴 수도 있었다. 여기서 문제를 내고 힌트도 함께 끼워 넣겠다. 

  객 :  "이 기계를 제작한 뒤에 뭐 할거냐?"

  친구 : "그럼, 다음 기계 주문은 받아 놓은 게 없는데 어떻게 여행을 다니면 어떻까!"

  지인 :  "앞으로 당분간 기계 제작 일을 하지 않겠다고? 그럼 뭐 할 건데..."

  나 : "공장에서 기계를 만드는 걸 잠시 접어 두고 창고 건물을 이 층으로 증축하려고 하는 데... 그냥 마음 먹은대로 실천하려고... 하지만 여기서 전제 조건이 있어! 지금 만드는 중고 기계 수리를 끝마친 뒤에 시작하려고 해!"

  객 : "그래, 그거 괜찮은 생각이네! 듣자니 그동안 그 것 때문에 무척 고민했다고 들었어요. 잘 되었군요."

  친구 : "어쨌튼 네 친구야! 화이팅..."

  지인 : 그렇게 하는데 돈을 많이 쓰는 건 아니고? 은행 빚을 그동안 빌려 쓰고 마음 고생이 심했다던데... 다시 빚은 지지 않고?"

  여기서 내가 이렇게 발표하는 그다지 신뢰성을 높이는 건 아니다. 사실, 다음 기계의 주문이 없을 경우 어쩔 수 없이 그렇게 할 수 밖에 없었다. 다른 대안이 없었으니까. 그렇게 할 일이 없어서 그나마 그것으로 다음 작업을 대신하려는 것일 뿐이다. 과거에 A 라는 건물을 지을 때도 그랬고, .B 라는 건물과 C 라는 건물을 지을 때도 그렇게 대처한 경우라고 할 수 있었다. 

  그렇다면 여기서 내가 건물을 짓는 걸 어쩔 수 없이 하는 건 아무래도 돈을 벌겠다는 목적은 아니다. 다만 한 가지 조건이 붇는다. 그건 바로 내 건물을 짓겠다는 뜻이다. 이번에도 공장 옆에 있는 창고를 2층으로 짓겠다는 조건이다. 다만 그것이 현재의 기계를 제작하는 공장을 그 쪽으로 옮기기 위해서였다. 지금까지는 창고를 임대해 놓았지만 마침 비워 달라고 했었다. 그 이유는 앞서도 설명을 했듯이 건물 앞의 진입로 부지가 타인의 것인데 까다로운 조건을 붙여서 더 이상 사용할 수 없게 되었기 때문이다. 그래서 다른 쪽으로 입구를 진출하기 위해서 측량을 의뢰하였고 80만원을 들여서 울며겨자 먹기로 측량까지 마친 상태였었다.

  이제 그곳을 아예 2층으로 신축하려고 한다. 현재 지어져 있는 창고 건물을 그냥 두고 이전을 하느냐? 아니면 신축을 하느냐? 하는 문제도 걸림돌이다. 

  우선 많은 돈을 들여서 지을 수가 없다. 예산 문제가 있기 때문이다. 그렇다고 무허가로 짓고 싶지도 않았다. 재 판매를 하여 이윤을 창출할 수도 있었다. 창고 건물을 지어서 더 높은 가격으로 판매를 하는 것도 고려할 수 있었다. 어짜피 그만한 건물을 지으면 지금보다 한결 더 높은 가격으로 책정하여 판매도 고려해 보았다. 그렇지만 대안은 아니었다. 일단은 공장을 이곳으로 옮기는 것이 관건이었으니까. 그 점에 대해서 정확하게 파악할 건 현재 공장으로 사용하고 있는 곳의 조건이 별로 좋지 않아서 다른 곳으로 이전하는 것이라고 보면 될 것이다. 가장 큰 조건은 'Xyz' 라는 단서를 갖는다. 그건 여기서 밝히지는 않겠다. 단지 이곳을 장사하는 곳으로 내어주고 지금의 창고를 공장으로 전화하는 것으로 바꾸려는 세심한 배려하고 할까? 

  사람은 살면서 한 두 번의 기회를 타고 난다고 한다. 내가 지금 다른 하나의 기회를 모색하게 되었고 그 조건을 바로 실행에 옮기려고 한다는 점이다. 

  마침내 내게도 우연히 절호의 찬스를 찾아다고 본 것이다. 그 기회를 놓치지 않으려고 장소를 이전하기까지 하다니... 

  내가 기계 제작이라는 개인 사업을 하면서 잘 하는 걸 두라면 두 번째가 서럽다고 할 만단 건물 짓는 거였다. 그래서 지금까지 4번에 거쳐서 내 건물이지만 창고 건물을 지어 왔었다. 그런 우연찮은 경험을 바탕으로 이번에도 아주 적절하게 찾아온 이 기회를 얻어서 나름대로 새로운 창고 건물을 지을 수도 있다고 보았다. 그리고 그 기회를 유감없이 발휘해 보려고 한다.

However, that was in order to move the factory that manufactures the current machines there. Until now, we had rented a warehouse, but we were asked to vacate it. The reason is that, as explained earlier, the access road site in front of the building belongs to someone else and can no longer be used due to strict conditions.   Now we are planning to build a second floor there. Should we just leave the existing warehouse building and relocate? Or are you building a new building? The problem of doing so is also an obstacle.

It was also possible to make a profit by reselling it. You could also consider building a warehouse and selling it at a higher price. If I were to build a building of that size anyway, I considered selling it at a much higher price than now. But it was not an alternative. First of all, the key was to move the factory here. What we need to know accurately about this is that the conditions of the place currently being used as a factory are not very good, so it is being moved to another location. The biggest condition has the clue 'Xyz'. I won't reveal that here. Should we just give this place over as a place for business and be careful to turn the current warehouse into a factory?

  It is said that people are born with one or two opportunities in their lives. The point is that I am now looking for another opportunity and am trying to put that condition into action right away.

  If I had to do something I was good at while running my own business called machine manufacturing, the second thing I would do was build a building that could be described as sad. So, I have built a warehouse building, although it is my own building, four times so far. Based on that coincidental experience, I thought I could take this opportunity, which came at the right time, and build a new warehouse building of my own. And I plan to make full use of that opportunity.
